Alfred M. Cohen, president of the Independent Order B’nai B’rith, will be the guest of honor at a banquet to be given in Philadelphia in the Bellevue-Stratford Hotel tomorrow, arranged by the local B’nai B’rith Lodges. Mr. Cohen will conduct the initiation of a class of one hundred new candidates. Among the candidates are the following well known community leaders: Charles Edwin Fox, Joseph Caplan, Leo Silverman, Dr. Myron A. Zacks, Sylvan H. Hirsch. Walter S. Rossbach, Joseph H. Hagedorn, Dr. A. J. Cohen, Lauwrence L. Aucker, Albert S. Marks, Samuel L. Gerstley, Adolph Berg, Sidney A. Aloe, Harry G. Sundheim, Herman E. Green, J. N. Sokohl, Jerome S. Friedman, Stanley Folz and Clarence L. Marks.
Mr. Cohen and Dr. Boris D. Bogen, secretary of the I.O.B.B., will be the guests at a joint banquet of the Argo Lodge of Washington, D. C. and Menorah Lodge of Baltimore, in Washington on May 12th.
