The municipal authorities of Algiers today rejected a demand by the notorious anti-Semitic leader Henri Lautier that the names of 213 Jews be stricken from the electoral register. They asserted Lautier’s allegation that the Jews’ parents had not been registered as residents in 1871 was completely unfounded.
