“Your brother, Ali”, is the concluding phrase of a letter sent by Ali, son of ex-King Hussein to Ibn Saud, Sultan of Nejd, in which he informs the conqueror of Mecca that the Hedjas forces are ready for a strong attack but that he desires to make peace, rather than fight, according to reports received here.

“I am obliged to protect Hedjas and its inhabitants who have chosen me to be their King”, Ali declares in his communication to Ibn Saud.
