Dedication ceremonies were conducted at suburban Wyandanch, Long Island, yesterday, for the opening of a new, 240 are, children’s camp site, named after the late Mrs. Alice N. Proskauer, wife of former Supreme Court Justice Joseph M. Proskauer.
The new day camp will afford facilities for 2,500 underprivileged children. It is part of the Henry Kaufman Camp Grounds, created and supported by the Federation of Jewish Philanthropies of New York. Principal speakers at the dedicatory exercises were Justice Proskauer and James Felt, a member of the New York City Planning Commission.
