An order requiring the fingerprinting of aliens coming to the United States to stay has been issued by the Immigration Bureau in Washington, it became known yesterday.
This is regarded here as unprecedented change in the immigration regulations. It is also understood that even returning residents who have resided here for many years, would be subjected to fingerprinting on return from visits abroad.
The new order has aroused a great deal of comment in circles connected with immigration and the welfare ### immigrants.
