All Hebrew schools will be closed down in Poland at the end of this school year, it was indicated here following a meeting of directors of Hebrew schools in this country called to consider measures to meet the new actuation.
The schools’ closing will result from a decision by the Jewish Central Committee to unify all Jewish elementary and high schools in Poland. The Hebrew school officials decided to establish special evening courses in Hebrew language, Hebrew ###erature and general information about Israel to replace the schools. The sixth anniversary of the ghetto revolt actually falls on April 19, but schools will be closed then because of the Easter holidays.
