The Jewish Welfare Board announced yesterday that all the out-of-door and home camps conducted by Jewish Community Center, Y. M. and Y. W. H. A.’s throughout the country are now in the full swing of their activities. These camps, which are affiliated with the Jewish Welfare Board, have a capacity of 2,500 and accommodate during the Summer more than 10,000 children and young people.
The Felix Fuld Camps of the New Jersey Federation of Y. M. and Y. W. H. A.’s moved into their new camp sites near Milford, Pa. The Associated Y. M. and Y. W. H. A. of New England opened Camp Naomi at Billerica, Mass.
The Jewish Welfare Board has established this Summer forty-one home camps and nine play schools and roof-gardens throughout the country.
