All Jewish candidates were defeated at the recent elections to the Central Committee of the Greater Budapest branch of the Hungarian Workers (Communist) Party, press dispatches from Budapest said today. The branch is the most powerful section of the Communist Party in Hungary. The reports pointed out that several Jews had belonged to the outgoing committee.
