All the Jews in the provinces of Yugoslavia that were annexed by Bulgaria have been deported, it is reported in the Nazi Boersenzeitung reaching here today. The newspaper says that no Jews remain in the districts of Bitolje, Skeplje and Strip.
The Hungarian Nazi press is continuing to demand that the government sequester all Jewish property “to neutralize the purchasing power of a million Jews, which is equal to that of five or six million other people.” The papers, which were received here today, admit that the catastrophic purchasing hysteria in the country and the existence of widespread black markets, much greater than anything seen in the last war, are not due to the Jews. It blames the condition, however, on “the Jewish spirit existing in many Christian social classes calling themselves race protectors.”
