Every Jew in Canada will be asked to sign a petition addressed to the Canadian Government and all the United Nations, asking them to take all possible measures to aid European Jewry, it was decided here last night at a meeting of the Dominion Council of the Canadian Jewish Congress.
Dr. Joseph Schwartz of the Joint Distribution Committee and Dr. Arich Tartakower of the World Jewish Congress addressed the meeting, which was presided over by Samuel Bronfman, president of the Canadian Jewish Congress. They reported on the present situation of the Jews in Europe. Saul Hayes, executive director of the Congress, outlined a program of relief activity which the United Nations could take.
