Claiming that Hungary has more Jewish residents than “any other country in Western Europe,” Premier Nicolas Von Kallay today declared in a Budapest broadcast heard here that “the only solution of the Jewish problem is deportation of all the Jews.”
Von Kallay denied persistent reports of anti-Jewish persecution in Hungary, stating that “Hungarians never persecute Jews because they know their duties as Christians.”
