Allan D. Emil, prominent philanthropic and cultural leader, has been named chairman of the 1965-66 campaign of the Federation of Jewish Philanthropies of New York, it was announced today by Irving Mitchell Felt, Federation president.
Mr. Emil, a vice-president of Federation, will head a volunteer force of more than 15,000 workers in an effort to raise funds for the support of Federation’s 116 affiliated hospital and social service agencies. The 1965-55 campaign will open officially September 1.
