The second Jewish secondary school in France operated by the Alliance Israelite Universelle was opened in Nice yesterday with 40 boys and girls in its two classes. Alliance is engaged in a major effort to integrate children of refugee families from Algeria into the French Jewish community. As in all Alliance schools, the curriculum will include, in addition to the customary academic subjects, the study of Hebrew, the Bible and Jewish history.
