Alliance Plans Culture Work

A plan for widespread cultural activities to be carried on in the various branche and clubs affiliated with the Jewish National Workers Alliance was recently fromulated by the culture committee of the general executive of the Aliance and the work preparatory to the execution of the plan has been begun, it was ammounced yesterday.

Among the activities indicated in the plan are correspondence lectures on vaious subjects, instructions on the celebration of Jewish and labor holidays, the organization of study and reading groups and the conduct of forums.

The groups carrying out theseplans will include the Alliance Women’s Club, which are now carrying on an intensive campaign for the organization of new units. A number of such clubs were founded within th past few months in New York City, Mount. Vernon and Richmond Hill, and Jewish women in a nmuber of cities in the East are expected to follow suit shortly.

Women’s cllubs and Alliance baraches of the metropolitan district will hold a conference on Jewish labo problems Wuday morning, Februay 25, at the Hotel New York. The administrative boards of the Alliance Schools have also been invited to participate in true meeting. Each club, branch and school will be entitled to two detegates.
