The Allocations Committee of the United Jewish Appeal, which is seeking $3,000,000 in this country for the relief of Jews in Germany and other lands and for the settlement of Jews in Palestine, will consist of Dr. Cyrus Adler, Paul Baerwald, Louis Lipsky, Judge Julian W. Mack, Morris Rothenberg, Rabbi Jonah B. Wise and Felix M. Warburg, it was announced yesterday at the headquarters of the Appeal.
In making the names of the Allocations Committee public, the announcement states: “American Jewry will be glad to know how and by whom the funds raised in this campaign are to be apportioned, so that they will be of maximum aid to our suffering people in their brave efforts to rebuild their own lives and to insure a future of hope for their children. The fact that these men constitute the Allocations Committee of the Appeal will add to the confidence in the United Jewish Appeal that has already been displayed throughout the country by the large number of local campaigns.”
