Israel Ambassador Abba Eban today held a general exchange of views on developments in the Middle East with Under Secretary of State Christian Herter.
The situation in Lebanon apparently figured significantly la today’s discussion, but Mr. Eban said after talking with Mr. Herter that the situation was such that he thought he ought not to make a public comment at this time.
