Israel Ambassador Avraham Harman yesterday discussed the Arab-Israel situation with United States Under Secretary of State Livinston T. Merchant. He told newsmen he made no special request of the United States, but conveyed to the Under Secretary the latest reports on the United Arab Republic troop build-up in Sinai and on the Gaza Strip.
The Israeli Ambassador said there was no equivalent troop massing by Israeli forces. The frontier tension was discussed as part of a general discussion on American-Israeli affairs, the Ambassador said.
