Amen Rihani, native of Syria, who was a conspicuous figure in America for the Arab cause during the recent outbreaks in Palestine, and who headed the Arab delegation who presented a statement to Secretary of State Stimson on their view of the causes of uprisings in Palestine, and Maurice Samuel, novelist and Zionist leader, who just returned from Palestine, will be the principal speakers here October 17 at the first meeting of the Foreign Policy Association, Elmira branch. Thir subject will be “Recent Occurences in the Near East.”
It is said that in 1922 Rihani made a trip through the Near East for the purpose of bringing about a united Arabia.
