While the bill “for the protection of the Republic” was being considered in the German Reichstag yesterday, the National-Socialists, anti-Semitic party, introduced an amendment which would have punished with prison all those found guilty of “deteriorating” the white “Nordic” blood of the German people through intermarriage with Jews or Negroes.

The amendment was rejected by an overwhelming majority. Several members of the “Deutsch-Nationale Partei,” however, voted with the anti-Semitic National-Socialists.
