“America stands four square for a Jewish commonwealth in Palestine,” Senator Elbert D. Thomas of Utah declared last night addressing the annual dinner of the Mizrachi Organization of America at the Hotel Commodore, which was attended by 1,500 persons.
Asserting that the creation of a Jewish National Homeland was the only solution for Jewish homelessness, Senator Thomas asked: “What people in the world has a greater right to expect that its homelessness, its landlessness, its helplessness shall be redressed?” He stated that the Arabs of Palestine would be among the beneficiaries of a transformed country which would result from the establishment of a Jewish National Home.
