Agudath Israel of America is providing 600 scholarships for Hungarian refugee Jewish children who will settle in the United States, Michael G. Tress, administrative president, declared yesterday at a press conference.
Mr. Tress, who returned recently from Vienna, reported that the first of the scholarships were presented to a group of children in Vienna.
The Agudath Israel official strongly denied charges made by S. Z. Shragai, Jewish Agency leader, that Agudath Israel is propagandizing Hungarian Jews against going to Israel.
