American and other Allied citizens who have suffered damages from the Nazis will be repaid from the $335,000,000 worth of German property that has been taken over in the United States by the Government’s Alien Property Office, it was stated here today.

About $90,000,000 obtained from selling German assets in this country already has been turned over to the War Claims Commission to repay damages suffered in Nazi Germany by American individuals and business firms, as well as by citizens of Allied nations, it was revealed. It was pointed out that President Truman, in asking Congress last week to end the state of war between the United States and Germany, also asked for continuation of the power to seize German property here.
