American astronaut David Wolfe delivered greetings from the Mir space station to delegates at the opening plenary of the General Assembly of the Council of Jewish Federations. Wolfe welcomed Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to his hometown, where he recalled attending Sunday school. He also lauded the work of the federations, which he said is “of critical importance to Jews all over the world — and in space right now.”
