Max Rheinhardt, well known German Jewish producer, has a standing offer to go to the United States to direct a national dramatic theatre, according to an interview with him published in the “Ncue Freic Presse.” Rheinhardt stated that a well known American banker and patron of the arts has proposed that he go to the United States and that the banker will undertake to build for him a large repertory theatre in New York City.

“Up to now I have remained true to Europe,” Mr. Rheinhardt declared.

It is apparent from Mr. Rheinhardt’s description that the banker referred to is Otto H. Kahn.
