Israel’s ten-year plan for a balanced foreign trade is on schedule, it was reported here yesterday by Yehuda Levit, Israel Consul for Economic Affairs in New York. He spoke at a luncheon of the American-Israel Chamber of Commerce and Industry held at Hotel Roosevelt.
“Israel not only spends every dollar in the United States that it receives under the grant-in-aid program, but also a considerable part of the dollars invested in Israel by American citizens is spent in the United States,” said Mr. Levit. “American business benefits from the assistance given to Israel, while we benefit from this assistance, ” he pointed out.
