The movement to enlist more young American Jews in the Chalutzim movement (Zionist pioneers) will be the main subject of discussion at the ninth annual convention of the Young Poale-Zion of America which opens here today. Among the many other important problems are also plans for a wide organized campaign to strengthen the Young Poale – Zion movement in America.
Delegates from all parts of the United States and Canada are expected at the convention, which will be addressed by Berl Locker, leader of the Poale-Zion world movement, the prominent Poale-Zion leader Baruch Zukerman; Moses Cohen, general secretary of the Young Poale-Zion, and other leaders of the Socialist and Zionist movements.
