The American colony Raanana, established several years ago by a group of American Jews, was praised today by the High Commissioner of Palestine as “the best colony in the country.”
Paying a special visit to this colony today, Sir Arthur Grenfell Wauchope spent several hours with Baruch Ostrowsky, the American director of the colony, and congratulated him “on the remarkable progress which the colony made for the last three years.”
The Raanana colony, in the Sharon district, will in the near future become one of the most important centers in Palestine, it is believed, since it lies on the road between Tel Aviv and Haifa.
