The newly-designated Israel Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Abba Eban, will make his first public appearance in the United States since assuming office this week, at an inaugural dinner of the American Friends of Tel Aviv University, to be held on February 3, it was reported today.
The dinner will highlight a nationwide effort by the AFTAU to raise $2,500, 000 for the establishment of the Moshe Sharett Institute of Educational Sciences. Designed to raise the general educational standards of Israel, the Institute will train urgently needed teachers in specialized fields, principals, district superintendents, school psychologists, administrators and other specialists.
