The American Fund for Palestinian Institutions, which supports 86 cultural, educational and social welfare groups in that country tonight launched a nation-wide drive for $1,065,000 at a dinner at the Savoy Plaza Hotel. Speakers included Edward A. Norman, president of the Fund, and John T.?, president of the New York Newspaper Guild. Mr. McManus urged that the Palestine Symphony Orchestra be invited to tour the U.S., declaring that such cultural exchanges will create better understanding between the peoples of the U.S. and Palestine.
