The American Histadrut Cultural Exchange Institute today announced that it will sponsor a world conference on “Integration and Acculturation” at Columbia University’s Arden House Campus in Harriman, N.Y., on January 15-17.
The announcement was made at a gathering of civic leaders at the Harriman mansion here at which Howard J. Samuels, chairman of the Institute, was host. Dr. Judd L. Teller, executive vice-chairman of the Institute, reported that the conference would focus on problems and solutions in Israel, the United States and the new nations with tribalist tensions.
