A group of American investors, including a leading American hotel owner, will shortly begin the construction of new luxury hotels in Israel under the sponsorship of Ampal-American Palestine Trading Corporation, A. Dickenstein, president of Ampal, who is on a visit here now, announced today.
Other Ampal projects for the next year, Mr. Dickenstein revealed, will include housing construction, organization of a tourist set-up and the establishment of a wallboard manufacturing plant in the Jordan Valley. The factory will use local products, for which foreign exchange is not required, and will export its entire output, according to Mr. Dickenstein.
