American-Israel trade totalled $34,991,500 in the first three months of 1957, an increase of more than 10 percent over the parallel period in 1956, the American-Israel Chamber of Commerce reported today.
United States exports to Israel totalled $30,300,000, as compared with $26,130,000 in the first three months of the previous year. American imports from Israel totalled $4,700,000, as compared with $5,300,000 in the same period in 1956. The decrease in imports from Israel was almost entirely due to a decrease in the imports of cut and polished diamonds.
