Formation of an American Jewish Academic Conference for Israel, to help disseminate accurate information on religious, cultural and educational life in Israel among academicians in the United States and to serve as an expert advisory organ for educational institutions in the Jewish state, was announced here today by Dr. Pinkhos Churgin, president of the Mizrachi Organization of America.
Dr. Churgin, a leading Jewish educator and dean of the Teacher’s Institute of Yeshiva University, made the announcement on the eve of his departure for Israel where he will spend two months surveying the Mizrachi school system, which educates 32,000 Jewish children.
