Claiming that the American Jewish Committee wants to limit the relationship between American Jewry and Israel to the philan-thropic level, Rabbi Irving Miller, president of the American Jewish Congress, today told the 26th annual convention of the Mizrachi Women’s Organization that “such a definition flows out of a rejection of the unity of the Jewish people.”
The approximately 1,000 delegates attending the convention heard Rabbi Miller charge the American Jewish Committee with “Jewish isolationism. ” James G. McDonald, former American Ambassador to Israel, was presented with the Mizrachi Women’s annual award for promoting American-Israel friendship.
