The American Jewish Committee delegation headed by Irving Engel, president of the organization, left Tunis today for the United States after meeting with Premier Bourguiba who assured the delegation that Jews in Tunisia enjoyed the same civil rights as Moslems and all other citizens of Tunisia.
The arrival of Alex Easterman, leader of the World Jewish Congress, for meetings with government authorities is expected within a few days. Mr. Easterman is now in Morocco where he is conferring with members of the government on Jewish problems.
