Seymour Samet, head of the Greater Miami chapter of the American Jewish Committee, has been named temporary executive director of the Dade County Community Relations Board, which was set up here, after lengthy debates in the general community, to deal with racial tensions.
The Jewish Floridian here reported that the American Jewish Committee turned the tide in the debates over the need for such a board.
