Representatives of the Rescue Commission of the American Jewish Conference have been meeting with officials of the State and Treasury Departments and the International Red Cross, pressing for specific measures for rescue and relief of Jews trapped in Nazi dominated territories, it was announced today by the Conference headquarters here.
Among the specific problems discussed at these conferences were the repatriation of Rumanian Jews from Transnistria who are now exposed to great danger at the hands of the retreating Nazi armies and the possibility of the International Red Cross extending further assistance in the form of medicaments and packages to persons in the occupied territories.
