The formation of an International Affairs Department at the American Jewish Congress was announced here today. The new department will be concerned with world events which affect the American Jewish community. Dr. Edward B. Glick, an authority on international relations, has been appointed to head the department.
Of special interest to the department are the activities of the United Nations and its various agencies and developments in the Middle East and in Jewish communities throughout the globe. The department will maintain close liaison with experts of the World Jewish Congress in order to transmit first-hand information and program data to AJC units throughout the nation. In addition, the department will conduct studies of world problems.
