Rabbi Irving Miller, president of the American Jewish Congress, issued a statement lauding President Truman for denouncing the U.S. Senato’s action in voting a $100,000,000 loan to the Spanish Government. “America’s leadership of the democratic world, enhanced by President Truman’s prompt and forthright action in the Korean crisis, has been gravely impaired” by the Senate’s action, he said.
