American Jewish Congress Sends 40 Delegates to W. J. C. Ass

American Jewry will be represented ###tion of more than 40 persons at the Third Plenary Assembly of the World ### gress opening in Geneva on August 4, it was announced here today by Dr.### Petegorsky, executive director of the American Jewish Congress, prior### parture for the Geneva parley. The delegation will be headed by Dr. Isreal ### stein, AJC president.

“The forthcoming plenary session of the World Jewish Congress, ” Dr. ### sky said, “will provide an inspiring demonstration of world Jewish unity### that representatives of organized Jewish communities from 65 nations a### to deliberate problems affecting Jews everywhere is heartening proof that### making great strides toward the goal of unity.

“It is to be hoped, ” Dr. Petegorsky continued, “that some American### ers who have in the past been reluctant to identify themselves with a per### representative body of the Jewish communities throughout the world will ### proceedings of the Geneva session carefully and objectively.
