American Jewish Congress Will Hold National Convention This Month; First in Four Years

The American Jewish Congress announced today that it will hold its first national convention in four years in New York City from May 29 to June 2. Representatives of over 500 Jewish communities, Congress chapters and affiliated organizations will attend.

The theme of the convention will be the future of the Jewish people–in America, in Europe and in Palestine. The first session will be opened by Mrs. Eleanor Roosevelt and Dr. Stephen S. Wise at the Hunter College Assembly Hall. Mrs. Roosevelt will speak on “The World We Have and the World We Want.”
