Leaders in American Jewish education, researchers and executives left by El Al Israel Airlines last night for Israel to participate in a special educators’ study tour there under the auspices of the Department of Education and Culture of the World Zionist Organization, the American Association for Jewish Education and the National Council for Jewish Education.
The educators will attend a seven week series of lectures on problems of Hebrew pedagogy and semantics. They will also study administrative and pedagogical procedures of the school system in the new State. They will be received by President Isaac Ben Zvi, Premier David Ben Gurion, and Dr. B. Z. Dinur, Minister of Education.
A world-wide conference of Orthodox educators will be held in Jerusalem beginning August 13 through August 28 under the auspices of the Torah Culture Department of the Jewish Agency, It was announced here today. Leading Rabbinical scholars will conduct study sessions at this conference.
