A wide array of addresses dealing with American Jewish history were presented here today at the 70th annual convention of the American Jewish Historical Society. Jewish scholars from all over the United States are attending the convention.
At the annual dinner tonight, special awards were presented to two noted rabbis. Dr. David de Sola Pool, of New York, was cited for his “distinguished service in the field of American Jewish history.” The award for “notable scholarly work in the field of Jewish history” was given to Dr. Bertram W. Korn, of Philadelphia, noted Jewish historian.
