A $500,000 drive for the rehabilitation of European Jews and to fight anti-Semitism in this country was voted by the executive of the American Jewish Labor Council, it was announced here today by the Council.
The executive also adopted a resolution urging the “immediate abolition of the British Mandate and the liberation of Palestine from alien rule and oppression.” It suggested the establishment of a transitional United Nations authority to administer Palestine until a permanent democratic U.N. solution is achieved, to be exercised jointly by the U.S., Britain, U.S.S.R. and France. Finally, the executive demanded the admission of at least 150,000 European Jews to Palestine as recommended by UNSCOP and statehood for the Jewish people.
