The Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations issued a letter to President Clinton expressing “total support” for his administration’s “decisive action,” according to Executive Vice Chairman Malcolm Hoenlein. U.S. Secretary of State Madeleine Albright planned to brief American Jewish leaders in a conference call Wednesday evening, he said.
