The 18th annual convention of the American Jewish Press Association, consisting of leading Jewish weeklies in 26 of the largest Jewish communities, will open at the Park Sheraton Hotel here on May 19 it was announced today by J.I. Fishbein, president of the Association and editor of the Sentinel, an English-Jewish publication in Chicago.
In addition to the routine problems of editorial, advertising and circulation building customary in the profession, the Jewish editors and publishers will evaluate changing trends within the American Jewish community that have taken place during the past year. Other officers of the association include Joseph Weisberg, Boston; Albert W. Golomb of Pittsburgh, and Leo H. Frisch of Minneapolis, vice-presidents; James Wisch of Dallas, secretary, and Adolph Rosenberg of Atlanta, treasurer.
