Jews in the United States were called upon today to increase their cultural activities and to display greater unity in the face of the common enemy, in an address by Samuel Niger, well-known Jewish literary critic and lecturer, delivered at the opening session of the Second Conference of the CYCO, Central Yiddish Cultural Organization.
Held in the Capital Hotel in the presence of 1,500 delegates and guests, including some from Latin American countries, the Conference also heard Abraham Reisin, famous Jewish poet; S. Mendelson. leader of the Jewish Bund in Poland and Chaim Greenberg, editor of the Jewish Frontier.
