The creation of a special credit institution to aid Jewish settlers in Israel from the United States and Canada, was voted by the board of directors of the American Jewish League for Israel at a meeting in the Hotel Essex House, it was announced here today.
The motion was adopted following a report submitted by a committee which had been appointed to study the problem. The motion authorized Ezra Z. Shapiro of Cleveland, president of the League, to appoint a commission to draft a definitive plan for the proposed agency.
