A program calling for the expenditure of $5,000,000 in the next five years on religious Zionist projects in this country and Israel, including the strengthening of religious ties between the Jewish communities of these countries, was submitted last night at the final session of the annual convention of the Religious Zionists of America here. It is expected that final action will be taken by the organization’s executive body at a meeting in the near future in New York.
The program provides for scholarships in an exchange program for American Jewish youth to study in Israel and for Israeli students to come here. It calls for the establishment of summer camps in this country for the training of youth leaders, and proposes the establishment of five more religious youth centers in Israel, the founding of three additional trade schools and two agricultural schools. The organization maintains a network of these institutions in Israel.
