A drive to mobilize American public opinion on behalf of a Jewish National Home in Palestine was launched today with an appeal to Christian Americans by Senators Robert F. Wagner, New York Democrat, and Charles L. McNary, Oregon Republican, Co-chairmen of the American Palestine Committee.
“The voice of conscience and humanity calls to leaders of American public opinion to express their sympathy in practical terms,” the Senators said in a formal statement, “to assure the Jews of Europe still living that the hope of recreating their lives in a free, democratic Jewish National Home will be realized with our support.”
